Hi All,
This is my first post, have been on this forum, mostly gone through various good threads.
Some background about me: I started running in 2015 as an alternate to keep myself fit, I am from Delhi (India), so mostly training in extreme conditions like heat, winters, humidity and more recently very poor AQP in Nov/Dec.
Since last year, i started training easy inspired by MAF method, i did not follow it strictly but still can see good results in terms of increasing mileage without injury.
Here are some timings/mileage
Fastest HM: 1:50 hrs (Nov 2019)
Ran just one FM: 4:50 hrs (not a pleasant experience though)
Weekly mileage range: 50km (till 2020)
yearly mileage in 2019/2020: 2300+ km
Recent weekly mileage: 80 km (low intensity mostly + 1 day of intervals/tempo)
Yearly mileage in 2021 (YTD): 1100 km
Currently on a running streak since 13th Feb 2021 (average daily >11km)
Most of my training is on a dirt track in a park close to my house.
Now i am enjoying this consistent training with increased mileage everyday with a long run on Sunday but i feel i do not have any structure to my training and confused between doing a self supported FM or a 50k trail run before monsoons hit India (June/July). Other alternative it to continue the same training regime and reach to weekly 100k and then star tapering based on weather conditions but that schedule becomes very monotonous at times.
Any suggestions on how should i approach the next progression? Not keen on any event given the covid situation around, especially India.
