I'm currently a freshman, and I have two more meets until my school track season end. I'm pretty satisfied with my times, but last year, I wasn't able to improve my 5k pr of 18:01 (ran at the beginning of the season) and stayed in the 18:30's range for the rest of the season. My training for track has been 7-10 mpw since we've been mainly focusing on speed work, and 15-20 mpw for cross country last year. Also, I'm doing track club over the summer and then transitioning into cross country pre-season. This post is a little early, but distance races (3200m and 5k) have been extremely hard for me to pr in despite seeing large improvements in my speed and such. I don't want to enter my sophomore season barely breaking 18:00 again just to see no improvement.
800m - 2:16
1600m - 4:59
3200m - 10:51
