Brazier and Raevyn Rogers had a funny exchange about how good a stadium the new Hayward Field was. Brazier said it was "probably" one of the best stadiums in the US.
"I think it's a beautiful stadium, probably one of the best in the country. I don't know if I'd say it's the best in the country. But maybe I'm just salty saying that, because I wanted to go to Oregon, you know, but they never gave me a scholarship."
Does anyone know if Brazier actually made a visit to UO while in HS?
PS. As a former coach, it wouldn't shock me that he didn't get an offer from UO. I was once recruiting the #2 guy in North America in the 800. He had run like 1:50. He wasn't going to be able to get in so I called up a top coach I respected and said, "Hey i've got this 800 guy. I really like him and think he'd be a great fit for you."
The coach said, "Does he run xc?" I was like, "No." He then said, "I'm not interested." I need guys that can do both I have very limited money to toss out.
