I am sure there are some blood donors here, but from what I understand, immediately after drawing the blood your liquid balance is off and one should just go easy that day, but other than that it just could reduce performance for a time.
What do you mean by donating plasma. Do you get the red blood cells and the rest back again?
Ho hum. Should have titled thread: can’t donate blood because I’m black and have covid or something.

With plasma donation, your "liquid balance" isn't affected because they return saline along with your other blood components.

Donating plasma involves extracting blood, running it through a centrifuge to separate just the plasma and return the blood cells back to the patient. It takes a few cycles get the desired amount of plasma. You really just need to replenish fluids afterwards and most people can donate as often as twice a week, although some people with rare proteins donate less often (but are paid more). Plasma is used to a number of diseases (

(I worked on the machine used in the donation process back in college)
