Still lost to Bozeman tho!!

No Kinney/Footlocker back then.
Yeah, gotta feel for Clinger. He's always wanted that team title.
He's been on teams with National title potential. Always performed well nationals, but that outcome hasn't worked out yet.
Still, opportunities remain for that illusive team title. Maybe he can convince Mantz to come back for one more cross country season.
How about Newbury Park in the last 18 months. They’ve had 4 guys go 9:00, 8:47, 8:44, and 8:40, and Nicos younger brothers haven’t raced yet this spring, so that’s two more in the bag making it six. Pretty nuts.
People often forget or may not know that Hudson also transferred from Voorhees into North Hunterdon before he then went out to Oregon his senior year. Three high schools in 4 years.

Did you ever hear about Hudson trained in HS? He was running over 100 mpw in middle school because he was "bored" and "there was nothing better to do" and then he was running similarly high mileage in HS. When he went to Oregon he'd sneak into the UofO locker room and see what workout they had written on the white board and then he'd try to do run it himself.
Why/how did he transfer across the country as a HSer? Who did he live with in S. Eugene?
How good was he? What did he run in college? Did he stay at UO the entire time? This is very strange.
He lived with John Carlotti, a New Jersey guy on the Oregon University team. Hudson was a top 10 finisher at NCAA at least once and All-American in 10k in track. After college he ran 2:12-13 for the marathon and won the Columbus Marathon back when it was a competitive elite field similar to Chicago and LA at the time.
I believe Bradley emancipated himself to allow the move to OR. Carlotti and Hudson were good friends, both coached by Mark Wetmore, and went 1-2 in NJ MOC XC Brad's sophomore year (Carlotti was a senior). For those who don't know of Carlo, this is the race that got him national attention, along with his win over Mike Starr in the HS boys 5th Avenue Mile:

In the spring of (i think) 95 Skiy and Micah Davis were 2 of only 3 guys two go sub 9 at 8:57/58. They also each ran 4:07.
I was a running n00b and obsessed over the lists in T&F News and couldn’t understand how two dudes with cool names from the same school were so fast.
I was in Washington HS then, running AA instead of AAA, so would watch the Mead guys kick ass after my state races were over. The year Micah and Skiy went sub-9 they looked like they were playing out there on the track, just having fun. The team totally dominant, the only bright spot in the otherwise dismal mid-90s era of US high school running.

So 2 guys from one school and one guy from another got those places?
They all ran for the same school, NHHS in 1983. The race was the next year, 1984. Martin and Babcock were still at NHHS but Hudson had become an emancipated teenager and moved to Oregon. The OP was correct.
Our 4x1600 team broke 20:00 and lapped the field. Best. Performance. Ever!
For some reason my relay split was always 30 seconds faster than any documented race times. Weird...
He only lived with John for a month or two and then had his own place shortly after arriving in South Eugene. The other part of Brad's story was that during his freshman year at Voorhees he and his mother were in a serious car crash and sadly his mother passed away.

1984 was Kinney Nationals and not Foot Locker. I was an 86 qualifier.
Eric Mastalir was injured and didn't run NorCal. Paul Thomas ran a nation-leading 8:53 the following year.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
