Before that, in the last few years, school mentioned they were moving away from Seuss for a variety of reasons including diverse authors.
Also March 2, was Seuss' birthday.
Is he being cancelled? No.
Is he being boycotted? No
Is he being forgotten? No
Will he still be read by millions of kids? Yes
Are conservatives trying to make this part of their BS whining about progress. YES!
I hate to break it to conservatives but culture changes. We aren't watching the same TV shows, listening to the same music as we did 60 years ago. The tent is bigger and more art is being created all the time. We can respect the past without being slaves to it.
Ignoring the fact that a book not being allowed anymore is by definition canceling that book, your claim that we don’t consume media from 60 years ago is just laughable. I guess classical music and art is gone you guys; throw it in the trash
