Thanks for the edifying comments. What I was mainly alluding to is that Utah has many legitimate but predatory financial entities. I'm thinking Payday loan operations, of which many are domiciled in Utah.

Mormons are obsessed with getting rich quick, even if it forgoes working hard or honestly for it. They are taught that being rich is being most in favor of their gods. It is significant that the largest and most prominent building in Utah is where the "church" leaders count the money they extract from the believers.
Mormons are childishly gullible and naive. This goes back to the very beginning of their cult where they were conned by the most successful fraudster in history - JS.
While I don't disagree with many things you have stated, what does that have to do with the title of the thread, Mantz - Feature Article - "BYU’s Conner Mantz is one of the best distance runners in the world".
Can you stay on the topic or post a different thread about your issues with Mormons?
What a goofball. He got 11th in the most prestigious marathon. "Not even top 50", gtfoh clown.

People believe all sorts of crazy things. Welcome to the human race. There's a strong human impulse to accept religious belief. It's an integral remnant of our evolutionary past. You'll find similar "crazy" beliefs all around the world whether it be Muslims, Catholics or flat earthers.
Believe it or not, some of the most educated people in modern America actually believe men have no athletic advantage over women. Now THAT is crazy. They might as well deny the existence of the noonday sun.
Mantz didn't write the article.
