Hi
I`m planning to do a hill workout on the treadmill.
It should be at MP pace.
Should I have the true MP pace at the display? 9,2 mph or should MP pace on the display be 8mph on 5 grade incline?(using hillrunners pace conversion)

My MP is around 4.00 min/km - and using a Stryd to measure effort on the hamster wheel. My power and heart rate = 4.45 min/km @5% incline
Thank you, maybe I should start at 4:45 min/km and try that.
Probably to hard to have true MP pace at 5 incline.

How accurate is your Stryd on the mill? Mine is terrible. It's very accurate on a standard track though (can read 400 m).
Mine is accurate, but my mill is off.. I get the same hr / pace as outside - only my hr is a little higher after 10-15 minutes because of the heat building in my pain cave.
My Sole F85 is showing 4.50 when I’m running 5.00, 4.00 when running 4.05 and 3.20 is 3.20 on both :)
I'm glad it is. Mine is absurdly slow on the treadmill, showing paces slower than 7:00 min/km at 6:00 min/km, which the Runn Optical Sensor tracks accurately (without calibration).
My Stryd pod is not close at 100.0 calibration factor on the treadmill. It also has had long term issues with the calibration factor somehow changing/becoming inaccurate after a Stryd recommended calibration on the track. After months of trying to find the cause or some issue Stryd offered no help or replacement/warranty option.
On topic to the MP hill run on the TM. I would ease into it also. Kind of a progression with pace and incline. Then you can feel it out better to get in the right effort level.

I haven't calibrated mine, still using 100.0 factor. When I contacted Stryd, they notified that my treadmill could be inaccurate and that I should refer to Fellrnr's treadmill testing protocol. However, from perceived effort and heart rate, I can say that the NordicTrack T12 is fairly accurate, and the NPE Runn sensor affirms this.

How do you like your NPE Runn sensor? Have thought about getting one to know for sure. But like you say, going by effort can get pretty close.
The first one I got was faulty and would not track well unless I calibrated it to the treadmill's display, which defeats the purpose. I was offered a refund by Zwift since I ordered it through them.
The second one I got from NPE's website, and it works like a charm, it's pretty much spot on with the treadmill's display, and that is out of the box without calibration. I like it because I'm a data geek, not because I truly need it.

Good to know. Thank you. Do you get pace readout to your watch or another option like zwift app?
Sure thing.
I pair it with my Garmin 945, it connects as a footpod.
