Now with the olympics gone is finally Mo's chance to go break that WR all his fans say he's easily capable of, and make his case for GOAT. Doesn't he want to be GOAT?
If Japan wants to cancel the Olympics for national security, that's completely within their purview.
There's a chance another country will pick it up, and it may be unfair, but that's just the way it goes sometimes.

Which distance? It's obviously not a track distance because of cheptagei
I don't see why, if it comes down to it, they can't hold an extremely pared down Games, maybe even just the athletics, with only the top 20 in each event for semis/finals.
A one week Games with athletics and swimming and a couple of other sports would be better than nothing, at least for the history books. It would be good for the mental health of the world.
The only other times the Games haven't taken place, almost the entire globe was engaged in brutal total war, mostly fought by young men. This pandemic doesn't even pose a real risk to young people.
Also, no Games until 2024 will be unfair to younger athletes too, including the likes of Jakob and Max Burgin. Mo Farah has had plenty of chances (and taken them). Younger athletes might get a serious injury before the next Games, never knowing what might have been, and many will no doubt lose motivation, as well as possible sponsorship.
The only world record in his future is the masters' 10k.
There is no need to cry over Mohammed Farah. He had his opportunities. No one told him to wait until age 30 to reach his peak. [His best event by TT is 1500m even though he never possessed the raw 200m speed to earn an Olympic 1500m medal.] We have seen some sprinters over the past 40 years performing extremely well into late 20s. The truth: most people reach their sprinting peak in early twenties. No Olympics hurts athletes who compete in jumps and 800m and shorter events.
Not fair to the guy who already has multiple Olympic Gold medals?
It’s worse for guys like Lyles, Brazier and Cheptegei who are at the peak of their careers and don’t have an Olympic Gond medal.
Not wearing a mask isn't fair.
I can never understand why people seriously respond to your posts. The idea that Mo Farah is the one who loses out the most is kind of funny though.

Tell that to Rudolph Harbig.
Was Jimmy Carter fair to Tony Sandoval?
Meh. it's not fair to Japan, having spent $15.4 billion to stage an event that may not happen.
