Like:
Coke
Drinkable:
Inca Kola (not really a cola, but hey)
Not great:
Pepsi (but I've never had a better drink than that can of Pepsi when suffering with altitude sickness)
Avoid:
Supermarket brand cola
Diet Coke
Pepsi Max

Diet Coke actually. And it's not because of calories, regular soda is just too sweet for me.
Have you tried Coke Zero? Pre-Covid, my employer had lunch brought in for monthly lunch meetings. There was unanimous agreement to switch from Diet Coke to Coke Zero.
Pepsi...it gives a sharper finish

Coke only if its with vanilla from a freestyle machine.
Powerade (that's awful)
Coke (the drink). I am addicted to it and it has probably ruined my life. Whatever. I would never knowingly drink Pepsi. You know, Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray isn't bad.
Pepsi, by far. But really, it's terrible for you and I try to avoid all sodas (with mixed success). Diet sodas are worse for you than regular sodas.
Having said that, if you can get Mexican Pepsi, you're in for a real treat. So much better than regular Pepsi. I think the difference is that in Mexico, they use real cane sugar or something like that.
They still have throwback Pepsi with real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup in the US.

It does taste different. I think I prefer the fructose.

Pepsi

That's what I'm talking about, the Hecho en Mexico!
But Pepsi's better.

During Passover some Jews will not eat products that have corn or corn syrup. Both coca cola and Pepsi produce soda with sugar instead. You can taste the difference and I know a few people who like it and load up on these products even though they aren't Jewish.

My vote: Coke.

Cheeseburger, cheeseburger, cheeseburger.....No Coke! Pepsi!
Coke. Ideally (when you can find it) the "original" (not the actual original from WAYYYY back...) made with cane sugar, in glass bottles.
For many years Coke was my go-to drink. These days I might have it once every 2 to 6 months, usually only in restaurants.
I don't like Pepsi but can drink it in a pinch; oddly, my father prefers Pepsi over Coke. No accounting for taste...
I can tell them apart in a blind taste test 100 times out of 100. Plenty of people tell me they can't really tell them apart. Maybe those are the people who like coriander / cilantro, which to me tastes like soap.

Can you expand on what happened?
"One of my friends dared me to slam a 2 liter bottle of Coca-Cola right after third and final call for my 400. I slammed the entire two liters about 90 seconds before the race. My stomach sloshed around violently during the run and my whole stomach felt like it was being shook like an unopen can about to blow. Some sort of noisy gas came out of me about 50 meters from the finish at full tilt that made the whole crowd go "ohhh! what the hell was that!" I lost it at 10 meters from the finish and puked out all 2 liters, which looked like about 10 gallons. I was sprawled out on the track and everybody was calling for an ambulance. Something went so wrong inside I actually s*** my pants. I thoght I was going to die."
