On some things. Universal healthcare sure. Be great if some mega rich helped out the worst off.
But I draw the line on living life restricted by the COVID scam.
TDS crowd can't see the forest for trees here I guess. Everything always gotta come back to your orange boogeyman here,

350k excess deaths in the USA.
You brag about walking around without a mask with no repercussions.
Yet you still claim it's 1) a scam and 2) your life is restricted.
Do you even try to make sense? (No, lol)

LMAO Imagine being THIS mad Trump lost.
The Biden "win" along with the Senate "win" represents the death of America and the death of democracy. I can see why the Capitol protestors are upset. You'll be upset too, in time. You just can't see it yet.

I have reservations about Democrat control over POTUS, Congress, and Senate, but never was a loss more deserved than this. Loeffler was a corrupt, vapid sugar mama and Perdue wouldn’t even attend debates he was such a entitled coward. Not Senate material. Adios, losers. Stacey Abrams is a bad MF’er.
Ha ha ha. Nice scientific take

At most, the lockdowns have saved maybe one million lives (USA). And most of the lives were nearly over anyway. Yet it's cost at least $5 trillion, and maybe as much as $10 trillion or more. That's $5 million to $10 million per saved life. Do you honestly think that's worth it?

And you think the pandemic would have cost $0 if lockdowns didn't happen?
Countries with limited lockdowns took big GDP hits.
People were staying home in the spring before government orders were announced.
You are posing an incomplete question -- pandemics themselves are bad for the economy.

The delusion. You're welcome to leave. Boomers like you just cost the rest of us $$$ to support.

So if we had no lockdowns at all, and let COVID cull the boomer herd, think how much money we would have saved!

Can't respond to my arguments -- makes a dumb joke to distract. Fairly standard COVID denier stuff. Can't wait for you to stop posting in a week or two after you get tired of getting owned over and over like the rest of them.

I'm sorry, I did not mean to disrespect you.
I did respond to your arguments by saying, according to your arguments, that we would have saved money if we simply let COVID runs its course and cull the boomer herd. That's what you meant, right? About boomers costing you $$$ to support?
You, however, did not respond to mine. $5-10 million dollars for each boomer life saved? Are the boomers worth that much to you?
And the "fairly standard COVID denier stuff"? Now that hurts. Show me another COVID denier who's willing to assume the lockdowns have saved one million lives. Show me another calculation like mine that we're spending $5-10 million per life on people who only have a few years left anyway. Definitely not standard, and definitely not denier.
So there, I fully responded to your arguments.

Most boomers don't think a Biden win is the "death of America." You sound pretty unAmerican so I am totally fine with you leaving.
I also am not fine with letting 1 million Americans die to COVID, regardless of Boomer status. I don't think these positions are conflicting. Do boomers cost us money, probably? I was trying to troll because you said Biden winning that was death of democracy, so I'll admit I don't really care about that. (I do appreciate your understanding that mitigation efforts have saved lives)
I did respond to your calculation. You assume the "cost" of lockdowns is independent of the pandemic. Like I said, many nations took big GDP hits regardless of the strength of their lockdowns. Furthermore, mobility data and such shows that people were staying home before government orders. I.e. pandemics hurt the economy. Lockdowns hurt as well, but the pandemic itself has a LARGE economic cost that you are ignoring in your calculation.

Ah. I see. Well, I didn't really say that. What I meant by the death of democracy was a combination of the news media and big tech throwing this election for Biden. As well as the fact that the Democrats plan to change the rules so they never have to share power again: full prisoner voting rights, full felon voting rights, DC statehood, Puerto Rico statehood, full immigrant (legal or illegal) voting rights, open borders etc.
And lets not forget how emboldened the media will feel after successfully burying Joe Biden's rape history, as well as his corruption history (China, Ukraine, etc). And also, how Twitter and Facebook prevented ordinary users like you and me from discussing Joe Biden's corruption charges shortly before the election. All that was the death of democracy, and the birth of the One Party System. Not Joe Biden.
Actually, Joe Biden, by himself, seems like a pretty nice guy. If I had to pick a neighbor, it would definitely be Biden. Not Trump.
And really, I'm not a COVID denier. If you saw me outside, I don't just mask, I double mask. And these are full masks with N-95 filters. I'm a believer. And I also tell people to stay at home, and stay off airplanes. And not just because I like to go to Las Vegas and the lockdowns are saving me boatloads of money on hotel rates and air fares. I really do want them to stay home. And be safe.
"The media" has less power than ever before - people's information sources are way more decentralized than when it was like 3 TV stations and 1 newspaper. The two party system is built on vying for the middle - always has been. There's never been a string a consecutive blowouts for one side and there's no reason to think it'll happen any time soon. The right was spewing doom when Obama won in 2008 and that Democratic super-lock lasted... 2 years.
I guess I am just more optimistic about both sides of aisle. I think the American institution is pretty resilient.
Why do people on hear keep acting like Biden won the election and it's fraud because Biden would never get that many votes? People weren't voting for Biden, they were voting for not trump. As great as Trump was at mobilizing his base, it turns out he was even better at mobilizing his opponents. Republicans will be poised for big gains in 2022 if even half of the trump base can manage to stay motivated, because the anti-trump crowd will never participate to that level again.
