8 weeks time Ryan would just be finding his stride again and feeling normal back running. 12 weeks time he’d smoke her
he's not smoking her at 180 lbs. and he couldnt loose the weight fast enough safely to smoke her in less than a year.

Of course he could. You must not understand the male ego. He could lose the weight in 3 months and he does not have to be quite at racing weight to run 2:20 in those shoes.

His last 3 real marathons
DNF London Olympics
2:17:40 Boston
DNF LA
What in that makes you think he could get into 2:20 shape?

Ryan would not be going out at 2:08 pace. He would be running 2:20 pace. Ryan Hall could do it IF he is motivated and he stayed healthy. I think he would need about 3 months though. He likely needs to be in about 2:22-2:23 shape to run the 2:20 in the super shoes.
Holy crap
We sucked in the London Olympic marathon
Ironic since it was the most competitive trials

This is a joke. It's Sara. It's not even close. 8 weeks? Ryan weighs too much. He could lose some weight, but probably wouldn't be able to do that AND complete the necessary training to run 2:20. It's a more interesting question if Ryan had 6 months.
Sara by 30 minutes.
No guarantee Ryan could run 2:20 at this point, even with a year to train.
I say 6 months to 2:20 for him. 1 pound per week will melt away over 26 weeks.
8 weeks...? Sara FTW
Heck even 1 year, Sara FTW

Supposedly the issue with Ryan and his late career were testosterone issues. Well with all this body building, I presume he has resolved that issue?
There was a video maybe two months ago of Symmonds and Hall running I believe 3 miles, and I don't think they even broke 6 minutes per mile.
So I agree that in 8 weeks, no way is Ryan getting to 2:20 for the marathon. But given one year, yes, he would.

Even without the weight, he's not going to run 2:20 in 6 months after a 5 year break. Just running 2:20 sometime during the next 5 years would be quite an achievement.
Didn't he have a testosterone level problem that resulted in him retiring?

I would have to believe muscle weight takes a lot longer than fat to lose. It might take years to get down anywhere close to his racing weight.

He doesn't need to get close to racing weight. Just needs to drop 30-40lbs of muscle which the body will drop in a hurry when you drop the massive protein intake and cut back on the lifting. Start running a calorie deficit and the body will eat those muscle up in a hurry.
Obviously the question is how a guy with chronic low T put in 50lbs of muscle.....
I'm not sure if Ry Guy could break 4:00 these days. He's like a Crossfit hobby jogger at best these days.

He is ~50 pounds over his running weight, so he would be lucky to run 2:50.
In 2017, Ryan finished the 7 marathons. 7 days. 7 continent challenge.
He made this big deal about the 7th marathon being his very last ever (leaving his shoes at the finish line). So motivation would be a big issue for him.
Since then he has bulked up too much to drop enough weight to compete.
If he could somehow get in good enough shape to make it close, he would let Sara win anyway.
Sara FTW no question.
