Bucknell Alumni came in 1st, UNH alumni came in 2nd. Fun times.
any rain?
Lots of rain...
just a little dampness....
just kidding, the rain sucked!
Certainly was interesting. I lined up for my first leg chatting with NCAA x-c Champ Keith Kelly running for a Providence Alumn team. The run was up a ski slope. I could see Kelly ahead of me unable to break 10 minutes for the first mile. I suspect his last one, down the slope on a dirt road, was sub-four. He was about 17 for the three miles.
That was the easy leg.

Guy from Bucknell ran a few seconds quicker than Kelly, but Kelly was running 5 or 6 legs. Bucknell guys looked great.
The Bucknell guys arrived in black vans looking like the deadly serious evil empire. My guys, the Loco Banditos, finished 12th, 3rd masters, but in the results we have a 2 hour penalty. It is a funny race. One team ran the whole 200 miles passing a rubber chicken to each other. Another team of men and women wore dresses and another all-women's team wore tutus. Just the list of team names is hilarious.
Many college alumni teams raced.
