Wife and I are both avid runners - we are both squarely in the decent hobby jogger range at this point in our lives... we can hit the age group podium at local races. We have two boys: 5 and 2. We started off with a Thule Glide (the one with the fixed front wheel), but it isn't that tough (or maybe we were just too tough on it) - taking the stroller in and out of the car, taking it on anything except for asphalt/concrete, taking the kids in and out - everything started wearing out pretty quick.
We switched to the BOB Ironman and never looked back. The Bad: It's heavy, and not suitable for something like airline travel. The good: The fixed front wheel helps it glide along pretty well. There is enough space under the stroller for any kinds of stuff, and in the seat with the kid for all their snacks, blanket, stuffed animal, action figure, etc. It's easy to install a snuggly for winter running, or the rain cover (which is pretty breathable and you kid will not get wet), and the shade goes down easily and has a lot of coverage to keep the sun off of them. The wheels are quick and easy to take on and off if you have to change a tube, etc. It's gone on 1-2 runs a day for almost 4 years, and it's STILL just as good as when we bought it.
Whatever you get - a few accessories (besides the rain fly and the snuggly) that I recommend ... a thing with compartments that stretches across the area between the handle sides. When your kid hands you a finished juice box or needs a snack, i don't have to stop and dig in the bottom - I just keep that kinds stuff in the compartment and hand it over to them - no need to even stop. You can also put your phone in there. I also like a portable speaker if you are a person who listens to music when you run. It's difficult to listen for your kid or in case of an emergency if you have headphones on. Although a portable speaker can be obnoxious, you can put it on pretty low and aim it towards yourself and really no one can hear it. Or you can subject the entire running path to your music, whatever your pleasure. I have the UE Roll 2. last thing are these plastic kids things that form a chain. You can put your kids water bottle or snack cup on the end of the chain, and you can adjust its length, to stop it from being ejected from the stroller.
