Looks like decent weather in Valencia Wednesday 9:30 pm CET. Calling for 73degrees 3 to 5 mph winds. I predict 26:10.98.
LRC's extensives preview is up here:

Not ideal as far as distance races weather goes but not extreme either
He is going to run 25:58 and shut all the haters down.
He won't get any WR
26:07.38

I hope he runs 26:17.34
seems about right.
I maintain what I have predicted in another thread: 26:10. 5000m WR doubled adding 1 minute.
Bananabreads prediction seems more based om wishful thinking than on specific evaluation.
Is this whole place deluded. Nobody respects how fast 26:17 is. It won't be beaten tomorrow. Chances are Joshua will fizzle out and we won't hear from him ever again in 2 years. He will decline and be beaten by Mo Farah in the Olympics for gold in 10,000m
I expect 26:11.54 for Joshua.
No AR for Kipchirchir.
Definitely under 26 minutes.

26:17 is fast, Cheptegei is faster lol
I'm a huge Bekele fan as well, but we all know his time is up. His 10000m WR is soft compared to his 5000m WR and Cheptegei is supposedly a distance-oriented guy. Just accept that 16 years is a long time to hold a world record and eventually that record has to be broken.

for anybody wondering, I believe Central European Time (CET) is 6 hours ahead of EDT.
So 3:30 for all you US East Coasters tomorrow.

It's quite possible he doesn't get the record, but to say we never hear from him again is laughable.

why would you think a dude that has been progressing very well his entire career would fizzle out in 2 years? makes zero sense.
he's been a prodigy since he was young, and now he's the best in the world. barring injury he should remain so for the next 2-3 years on the track at least before moving up.
