    If the Free Market determines that planes should be produced with defects, who are we to question the market's wisdom?

    Except there is no free market in the commercial aircraft manufacturing business. Boeing only has one competitor, which is highly subsidized. I don't think it's necessarily good for the world to be reliant on a single manufacturer. It's just a matter of time before China enters the market. Does anyone really want that to happen?

    Boeing moved their headquarters from Seattle to Chicago back in 200.

    On September 4, 2001, the Boeing Company moves its world headquarters from Seattle to Chicago. The decision to leave Seattle, announced on March 21, 2001, affects about 1,000 jobs.
