Sure but the a recent poll I did suggests 100% of actual irish people take pride in it so your opinion has little value.:) And yes my poll is about as valid as the WaPo one the racists love.
There is a quit a difference between using a slur. When they come for the indians, braves, and seminole's, I expect the irish will go also. So far most of the complaints about those names have been about cultural sterotypes and some cultural sketchy imagery. (see Chief Wahoo).
How many Irish Catholic types do you see with a ND or some type of Fighting Irish tattoo? Not sure too many real Native Americans were getting the Redskins logo on their left calf.
