No. The father of Ted Cruz, a Cuban, assassinated JFK. Trump told us this and he would never lie.
This is the answer. /thread
But seriously, according to Chapter 21 of the National Book Award winner Legacy of Ashes, the History of the CIA by Tim Weiner, Oswald was a known Castro supporter, had numerous contacts with the USSR via their embassy in Mexico City, publicly defected, and was suspected by the CIA to be "in the hands of the KGB." It also mentioned that the FBI and CIA failed to share files on him, which probably contributed to his successful attempt as the two agencies couldn't put the pieces together. My guess is they determined that either the USSR, Cuba, or BOTH (with the help of Ted Cruz's dad, of course) got him to do it, but determined that retaliation would lead to nuclear war. Also, the CIA weren't fans of Kennedy, so who knows if they were actually happy or not.
I seriously recommend this book btw. The CIA is a joke on an agency whose history is filled to the brim with failure and incompetence at the expense of billions of wasted dollars and hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of lives lost. The reputation they have is completely manufactured by them and completely undeserved. Frankly, they should not exist.
