On two or three occasions I've noticed after doing a longer aerobic workout (something like 10 miles at MP, HR 155-165bpm) , my heart rate on my easy runs over the next few days is ~5bpm if not a bit more lower than usual. My pace is either still the same or better on the easy runs, so it's not that I'm fatigued and running slower, and doesn't seem to stack up that it's a blunted HR response. It literally feels like I've got fitter in 24h from one workout. Has anyone else ever experienced this?
