For those days when you don’t have enough time to complete a scheduled workout, what do you do? Go easy, intense, skip or something else?
I consider whether that workout can be moved to the next day, without disrupting the overall week ahead. Depending on that, you may want to squeeze in whatever you can by shortening the session, making it an easy run of shorter distance, do a core or strength training workout instead, cross train even. I'm a believer in getting in some movement and stimulus, and even if cut short. That said there are also times when your week of training is highly structured and it may be best to not modify and just move onto the next day keeping with rest of plan.
