Why does it have to be, what it seems like you two are implying, a nefarious situation from either the side of the school/administration or the coach herself?
I love coaching, but I'd be lying if I said there weren't plenty of times where it gets tough to continue on.
Time not spent with family (whether it be actually physically separate like at a meet all day, or mentally separate in that you're on the couch with your spouse after the kids are in bed, but you have entries to do, parent emails to respond to, spreadsheets to update, and so on), low pay, and added stress are just a handful of things that make the coaching lifestyle difficult.
Maybe she just didn't want to anymore. Maybe she realized the upsides weren't worth the downsides. Tons of coaches don't last 2 years, and my first assumption wouldn't be some malicious scheme to cover up or get away with some sort of impropriety.

This is definitely true in the age of social media. I've heard pop stars say that they can't even have a one night stand with an adult groupie these days because it will be on Twitter and TikTok the next day. Lennon, Bowie, Presley, Jagger were having sex with the teenage girls who would besiege their dressing room doors every night. Now, the only way you can be 'sexually rebellious rock star' is by conforming with the Woke crowd and declaring yourself non-binary. Not justifying the behaviour of pop stars in the past, but it's 99% the reason why contemporary pop music is absolute tosh. Back in the 60's, it was all about becoming a famous pop star in order to bang groupies and live like an Ottoman sultan.
