I think at this stage it could go either way in next year’s Olympics.
Jakob ran the more efficiently paced race in Monaco, whereas Tim’s first lap was too fast at 53.1. He (or rather the pacers) did have the good sense to slow the 2nd lap down though. The 800 and 1200 splits were pretty much perfect for a sub 3:30. So Tim was possibly more to impressive to run a 3:28 off that pace.
I am surprised how much Tim has improved over the last 2 months since that 2000m tt in Nairobi.
The times are definitely affected by the new track and the technologically advanced spikes. As good as Wightman is, he’s not as good as Cram, Coe and Ovett (not even close), and he probably got a 2 sec ( as did all of them) benefit from the track and spikes alone.
Dude, you need something better to do than obsess over teenage European runners and brainstorm all the ways that their competition has cheated.
So Jakob is doped? You are writing this without a shred of evidence. But may you know that by heavenly inspiration? This kind of mechanical reasoning ... do you have any scientific upbringing in your country? Or do you just learn tyo trust the working of your own brain. Don't reason. Give us facts.
wow congratulations

So you're insanely dumb.
Tim ran at 6500ft of elevation. Everyone who has a clue about athletics knows how much of a difference it makes.
Add on top of that some disastrous pacing (even worse than monaco), and horrible weather.
And then add the fact that Tim was coming back from a break and only had 2/3 weeks of training before the impossible games.
If you think all theses things aren't worth at least 13. 5 seconds on a 2000m race then you're dumb.
Even Coevett would not try to contradict that.
Dude you're delusional - Jakob ran a perfectly paced race while Tim went out at 3:17 pace ... and Tim still survived and beat him. How can you then say that Jakob will beat Tim next year ? The pacemakers screwed up Tim's race - if he had started at a more sensible pace he could've run 3:27 ... Also these are just hilarious/sad quotes from Coevett :
I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out they were Manangoi and Kiprop, lol
really ?
Tim benefited from two laps of drafting from personal pacemakers"
yes .. that is how a paced DL race works .. Jakob could've gone with them if he wanted to
If Monaco was the unofficial Tokyo 1500 final 2020, then Jakob should be given the gold medal.
for coming in 2nd?
and the best one lol
he virtually front ran from the gun, and he's going to break the world record next year
He didn't run a single meter at the front of this race. For the WR thing ... running 3:28 once ... shouldn't Tim have a better shot at the WR since he's older, has a faster pb, is a world champ, beat Jakob multiple times and has run sub 3:30 more than once
Only someone truly delusional could watch that race and think that Tim’s pacing and race conditions were easier than Jakob’s.

He knows that, he just is trying to rile people up because he is a pathetic person with low standards for entertainment.
Jakob gets the gold medal for finishing second? Funny how this sport works sometimes bruv
Let me also shed some light on the situation -
TC has run 1:43.11 at altitude, faster than what Brazier ran yesterday over 800m in Monaco.
JI is like a 1:46 guy.
Night and day difference in talent.
I don't think I've enjoyed a Men's 1500 so much any time in the last 30 years - a really great race.
Much as I appreciate Jacob I don't see the argument for making him Tokyo favourite. Cheruiyot was impacted more by the uneven pace than Jacob was impacted by having to lead the chasing pack. I still think that Cheruiyot has a second on Jacob.
Back to Jacob's chances in Tokyo - I can see him getting silver in a fast race, like Doha. What we don't know is how would he handle a more tactical affair. Lewandowski easily out-kicked him indoors and I suspect he's never going to have the top end speed or acceleration for a sit and kick affair.

Yeah but if he can have Filip and/or even Henrik in the final, they can make the race that they want (see european championship 2018 over 1500m)
I'm gonna help you out here.
The definition of 'getting the gold' is:
-winning the race
The definition of front running is:
-Being in front of everyone else in the race

Yes, let's shed some light on the situation. Jacob has run near 13 flat twice!
Timmy is a 13:47 guy.
Yes. Night and day difference in talent.
Even if Jakob improves another two seconds by next year, he will have his hands full with Timothy Cheruiyot, who showed low 3:26 potential in that race.

His first lap was way faster than 53.1 . But since it was close to Coe's 81 split from Stockholm, adding some tenths seems to be a good idea for Deanouk.
And he just WISHES that the times are affected by the new track. To call it as a fact shows that Deanouk is very dishonest.
Don’t bother. He was making ridiculous split claims for Brazier’s last 300m in the 1500m to discredit that as well.
