Assuming bowerman stacks the womens race, I'm going to say 1620 for the team and 357 for shelby.

So USATF.tv is going to show an intrasquad meet with just some dumb relays? And it’s behind a paywall? Is USATF.tv a paid for hire outfit or do they have affiliation with USATF?
Meanwhile, a real track meet is happening in the same town with multiple athletes from different teams. Is the Big Friendly 3 going to be streamed?
Looks like it's streaming live on youtube for free, though I'm kicking myself for moving to the east coast. Four hours of sleep is rougher than it used to be

"Bergmann said organizers looked for a track with sweeping turns."
I thought all outdoor tracks had standardized dimensions. What do sweeping turns mean?
I think it is great doing things like a 4x1500 m relay. Gets good hard effort in also making it fun and competitive. All part of that teams overall plan I am sure
No. 2 different shapes. Traditional and soccer field.

Tracks do have different dimensions, with a decent amount of variation in how wide the turn is. I actually just thought about that last week while watching Team Boss run at Indiana Wesleyan, which has a fairly wide-turned track. There may be some sort of allowable range, but if you look up satellite images of different tracks, you'll be able to tell the difference.
IAAF tracks are recommended to be 85m straightaway 115m curve with a nice wide sweep on the curve
they can be anywhere from standard oval (100m x 100m), paperclip (125m x 75m), or the IAAF/soccer type which is preferred with 80-85m by 115-120m
Interesting, thanks all
USATF.tv is the national office's meet streaming portal. Runnerspace is contracted by USATF to run the site.
Correct, The Big Friendly III is free to stream. It goes live at 7:50pm Pacific, racing begins at 8:00pm.

I don't. This is their last race of the season and the perfect chance for some of them to chase a fast 10k. And instead they're doing a gimmick.
If the women break the 4x1500 record, it likely wouldn’t be record eligible given that there are only two finishers. Or am I wrong?

Why wouldn't it be eligible? What rule are they breaking?

There is no info on the Let'srun front page, or the linked "meet info" page:
https://tempojournal.com/article/bf3-revenge-of-the-friendly/Mo Ahmed just did a podcast for the Canadian Running Mag (Shakeout Podcast) in which he said that there will be one last race night on the following Friday which will be serious but he didn't know what events they would be running.

That's no good that they're ducking competition entirely this year, even where they don't have to travel to get it, with others from their own shoe company! They could easily mix up both squads to compete at two meets without exceeding the athlete limit. And they're closing it up with relays! Why not go for more pr's at various distances? And they're skipping Monaco and other European meets. If that were because of travel restrictions on Americans with Trump's failed handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, that'd be understandable, but it fits in with Jerry's reluctance to let his athletes race against the best.
It's not about an "athlete limit", it's about control. This has always been Schumacher's MO.
I think this is it. If it's a BTC-only meet, then Schumacher can dictate paces. If it's mixed then he can't.
