Biggest bust since Kiprop......
Wtf is it with these whereabouts failures? IT IS YOUR JOB TO BE WHERE YOU SAY YOU ARE!
There should be a heftier penalty for missing tests and any results in between missed tests should be annulled.
Yeah, let’s see if it holds up.Whereabouts failures are thoroughly unsatisfying.
How lucky is Jakob?
The only way he medals is if others competitors are prevented.
Oh dear, another one.

Don't speak too soon ...
they may be doppers.
Ridiculous. He trains in right there in Nairobi, not some remote location. Go ahead and issue a blanket ban on Kenya, why don’t you? I don’t care anymore. Obvious ploy to clear the coast for their favourites.
Do you think the Norwegian Athletics federation may be involved here?
Not surprised. Defended Kiprop (his mentor), flashy and likes to show off the bling. Strange up and down results last season. Interesting to chart his decline from the date of Kiprop's bust.
Of course for the doping apologists this will just mean in their alternative universe that 5 Brits and an American have just been popped.
Sad to say, but can we have any faith in Tim now?

If he trains in Nairobi he should be available to take his drug tests...
I've been telling you guys this was coming ;) . I believe we'll see three to five more athletes announced before the AIU's statute of limitations kicks in in a two weeks.
More on the way, apparently.

Last post here, guys. So long ??
See you in a few, El Keniano
Now I've updated my Kenyan elite doping stats. To the mods. Instead of deleting this post, why don't you delete posts that claim yet another major Kenyan doping busts somehow proves that Kenya is the cleanest country of all, and that the Brits are all dirty?
I took a look at the Kenyan men's top lists for each flat track event from 400m to 10000m, as well as the half marathon and full marathon, for 2015-2018. I left out last year because the list would include a number of new faces who haven't been tested much.
So 2015-2018 gives a realistic look at the number of elite Kenyan doping busts, although you could probably at least double the eventual numbers given the rate of busts and that a majority are still active (and will get busted down the road). And then of course, you're free to speculate what percentage of dopers are/aren't getting caught. But the percentage who have already been caught is shocking enough, and totally contradicts the lie that El K puts forward that the reason for the huge number of Kenyan busts is that they 'have more elite runners than the rest of the world put together'.
Here is the list of elite busts, and their position in the Kenyan rankings for the four years 2015-2018.
400m
3. Bonface Ontuga MWERESA
800m
3. Alfred KIPKETER
10. Kipyegon Bett
14. Asbel Kiprop
1500m
1. Asbel Kiprop
3. Elijah Manangoi
5000m
6. Cyrus Ruto
1000m
18. Vincent Kipsegechi YATOR
half-marathon
1. Abraham Kiptum
Marathon
2. Wilson Kipsang
9.= Daniel Wanijuru
9.= Abraham Kiptum
So in the seven events, a top 6 athlete has been busted in 6/7 of them. A top three athlete has been busted in 5/7 of those events.
What other country even comes close to that crazy rate? And as stated above, it's very improbable that there will be no more busts from those years. And even then, it's just as improbable, that they will represent all the bad apples caught.
So 7 events x top 3 in each = 21 top 3 athletes for 2015-2018.
Six of those have been busted already. That's over a quarter.
3 of the top 10 Kenyan marathoners have been busted. 3 of the top 14 800m runners have been busted. 2 of the top 3 Kenyan 1500m runners have been busted.
Any other country with that confirmed doping rate would already have been suspended.
Also, some notes on the other listed athletes in the article:
This is Mercy Kibarus' (prohibited substance) second time failing a drug test- the first was back in 2015 at the Lady's Half Marathon in Kenya. She's had Visa woes since (she claims due to the doping scandal) and has not raced since 2017, when she ran 2:26. Back then she said: “I’m innocent because I have never taken any drugs to help me ran faster. Besides, I have severally proven my innocence but the Adak people have refused to clear me. I don’t know why."
We last saw Patrick Seale (evading/refusing/failing to submit a sample) in 2000m at the impossible games (DNF). Previously he won the Bucharest half in 2018 around 61 flat, and has run close to 60 three times internationally, 1 of which was a win (Agadir). Also has a pr of 2:10 in the marathon.
Kenneth Kipkemoi (prohibited substance) ran 59:01 in 2014 at Valencia and 2:05:44 in 2018 at Rotterdam.
