Lopez's PRs are now 3:32, 12:58 and 27:04. That's gotta be more impressive range than any other American except Rupp right?

Lagat still better

isn't 332 better than Rupp's 3:50i mile?
Plus Lopez excelled at the 800.
Yeah, I'm sure that it would be great to watch the World Series or NBA final game a few days later. Why would they not produce an event live? It can't cost that much money for a company like NIke! Who are responsible for these decisions, is it NIke, is it the coach, is it the company that requires you to pay to watch this event? Who is responsible?

And Rupp has a Olympic medal and WMM win at the marathon distance so...
Well those of us who aren’t cheap saw two amazing “races”.
Lagat lacking a good 10k time, but far superior in the 15 and 5, plus there's the whole 2:12 marathon at age 45 thing...
So would you rank them:
1. Lagat
2. Lopez
3. Rupp
In terms of most impressive range of mid to long distance PRs?

18.84 seconds faster. Wow!
Did she wear the pogo shoes in Doha?
Don't forget Lomong ran 1:45 for 800.

How can you rank Lopez infant of Rupp. Rupp's ran 3:50 (so like 3:33), 12:58, 26:44, 2:06. Yeah Lopez is 1 second faster than Rupp over 1500, but Rupp's WAY better at anything 10k and up.
15:01 pb going into Doah....
How many watched, get back to me when you have that answer.
What an amazing night for running, and thanks to all on this thread for contributing.
A lot of us here can afford $13. Sorry that you can’t and had to complain the whole thread instead. You missed out, and you will continue to miss out.
Perfect pacing for both races:
Women: 35, 69.4, 70.8, 70.3, 70.0, 70.1, 70.3, 70.9, 69.3, 70.2, 68.8, 65.7, 61.4
Men: 32, 62.4, 62.5, 61.9, 62.5, 62.4, 61.1, 61.4, 61.9, 61.3, 60.3, 59.4, 57.4
Are you a shill for the site? Why would you do this through a paywall that is not accessible to many HS and College kids during the hardest times for them to keep up the spirit of running?

It’s not quite as black and white as you make it seem - Lopez has also run 1:45 and was fifth (I believe?) in that epic 2008 Trials race.
2:06 and bronze in the marathon are obviously superior performances, but Lomong’s 800 chops increase his range down, like Rupp’s marathon prowess does up.
Either way, I would suspect that Lomong will have a 10k race set up for him later this summer similar to these time trials at 5k. I don’t doubt he can run under 26:50. In that case, it would be a very interesting argument in range. Of course, Lagat is still the American goat in that department, whether you count the 3:27 or not.
I honestly don’t care what their motives were because it was a small fee that was well worth it and I loved watching it. No skipping, no choppiness, great runs.
