One more death nail on the coffin of collegiate Fall sports occurred last night when Ohio State University shut down ALL of their sports teams' practices and closed facilities for the time being. They reported these closures because of an unspecified number of positive COVID tests among their athletes.
If one of the professional football factories closes down the whole shebang now, after having brought kids back in for practices, and if they refuse to disclose how many are testing positive, that tells me that the challenges for Fall are going to become insurmountable.
-Also, we do NOT know that kids don't transmit the virus.
-Also, asymptomatic spread is considered one the reasons for such aggressive community spread of the virus.
-Also, there are increasing reports of ongoing neurological problems in those recovering from even mild cases of CORONA.
-Also, case numbers are exploding across the country, right now, this week.
If anything, we are headed toward more stay-at-home and other aggressive measures as we move toward Fall, NOT more opening.
