I'm currently waiting on the walk in clinic to open, but this is nuts. My throat and tonsils are extremely swollen and red, white dots on my tonsils, and my uvula is the most swollen it has ever been, probably literally 3X its regular size. My neck is swollen too from my lymph nodes. No cough. No fever. Nose is clear. Tongue looks fine.
Is this just really bad strep?

Did you eat anything unusual this morning? Nuts maybe? Peanuts or tree nuts? Think about what you ate this morning.
It sounds like an allergic reaction. Anaphylaxis .
Don't wait on clinic; go to ER right away. Definitely seek medical help ASAP no matter what.
I had an abscess in my tonsil and the thing swelled up the size of a golf ball. Wasn't good. And even though they took them out, I could still get the same kind of infection. Go in as soon as you can to get this looked at.

No. It's been going on for a couple days now. Didn't think much of it at first, but then it got worse last night after I went for a run. Didn't feel sick or fatigued on my run. It's just as bad this morning. Been taking vitamin C and D... Took two ibuprofen last night so that I could sleep. Really don't think it's allergies.
