While I’m not a fan of the whole “whitey bad” narrative, there was something about that cop kneeling on the man’s neck for far longer than was necessary that does trigger a visceral reaction. It was just wrong.

I’m a huge supporter of good cops and one thing I do approve of is de-escalation strategies. On the flip side, arrogant leftists need to understand the level of viciousness the cops sometimes have to deal with.

When will white people finally catch a break?!

Are you shitting me? This guy literally shot her 8 times. He shot at her 6 times and she said stop, please I surrender, and he shot her 2 more times killing her. This same undercover officer forced prostitutes to have sex with him in exchange for freedom of criminal punishment.

The country is brainwashed and it's so sad to see. A black man kills a white women, and everyone writes it off, but when a white man kills a black man then it's an act of racism. When you will you people realize that there are shitty cops and if they weren't shitty cops, NO ONE would be dying.

The fact is that we are all humans, and whether we have different skin colors should not matter when an injustice happens. Is this comparable enough? Get your head out of your ass and start realizing we are being fed a narrative by the media to pit people of different colors against each other. There are way too many reasons for why there are doing this and it's obvious in some ways why they want to do this. The "WOKE" needs to WAKE UP.

Yes, white people are victims of police brutality too. Yes, we should probably be more pissed off about it than we are. But "we aren't as mad as we should be" doesn't mean that black people are overreacting, if that is what you are trying to imply.

here's the thing...people who always bring up these what-a-about isms are almost never ever the people actually willing to go out and protest against police violence .........because 99% of the time they embrace the brutal authoritarianism of our current police system...these posts are in their own sick twisted way, in defense of our current police state, not against it. they love the way things are and are not interested in change.

Police violence as a whole is horrible and needs to be ended. thankful there are people out there doing something about it right now.

Which cops are you referring to?

I want all cops held accountable for unjustly murdering someone, abusing someone etc.

That doesn't mean I think the entire nation needs to get out and protest it during the middle of a pandemic, jumping on a bandwagon that sounds convincing but in reality, is not even remotely as serious as people think it is.

I might understand if we were protesting in masses the amount of sex/human trafficking going on every day, the over 40 million slaves in other countries, child abuse going on in homes (of all races). But no we are protesting simply because a white man cruelly killed a black man. Again the media only jumps on these things when its black on white (during election time if I might add), to influence people to pick sides on controversial issues that in reality are not nearly as widespread as they make them out to be. That does not mean racism doesn't exist, or that police brutality shouldnt be protested, but there is alot more going on here and a huge doubles standard.

So we both want murderous cops held accountable. I for one am glad there are voices that are getting that message across better than you (or I). Further, you haven't pointed out any double standards, to the contrary of your claims and handle.

I disagree, partially. If I were protesting, I would not be doing it in conjunction with massive amounts of hate, rioting, looting etc during the middle of a pandemic when it will now potentially kill more people. We could easily call for reform by using our voices on social media and through voting for better policies. If protestors all had the same mindset as I do, they would not allow these people to hijack a movement and protest alongside them, And this movement has many more intentions then just police reform. The fact that so many protesting are making political statements tells me their motive is not primarly focused on police reform.

The double standard is that in 2020 when a black man is killed by a white man it is racist, but when a white person is killed by a black person, it's because they are just a bad person. Or even further, that it's a result of white supremacy that black people have such higher rates of violence and get more justification for their evil deeds.

The fact is that every act of violence, murder, hate is just as EVIL no matter WHAT THE RACE. And we should be just as upset when a black man kills a white man or woman as when a white man kills a black woman or black man, but when it comes to election time... it only goes one way.

Well, there is a difference between a massive amount and a majority amount. Massive is relevant, and in the terms, I am using, it's an amount far beyond the norm.

In terms of why all other police killings of black civilians hasn't been equally notorious is due to a number of factors. Timing. It follows on the back of the Ahmaud Arbery Murder. It's election time, so the mainstream media has picked up both of those videos and promoted them. If every murder were caught on camera, regardless of race, you would see some of the most grotesque things you could ever imagine and wonder how the hell these things happen. Human beings have the capability of very much evil, again regardless of color of skin. In George Floyd's case, it seemed unjust because he was screaming stop, I can't breathe, and so every person can imagine how inhumane it was. That does not mean inhumane things don't happen every day.

Who is doing more to prevent these things then me? Probably people who actually care and are in a position to do it peacefully. But when you see along with the protests, many many more people dying and being injured, you are insane not to question if it is worth it. And then to question is this going to make race relations better in America, or is it going to cause more divide because now there is potential for people to start taking matters into their own hands and finding revenge/justice without the help of the Criminal Justice System. In addition, the amount of people that could potentially die from covid because people felt that being around 50,000 other protestors was necessary is also tragic.

I would not protest for Tony Timpa, and I think if a majority white group of people were to do it in the numbers you are seeing for George Floyd, (would never happen), then you would see the Left absolutely freakout and say they are spreading the virus like crazy and it was a mistake on the cops part but it's not worth tearing down cities for it.

Again Double standard.
