I don't think you're running your workouts too fast. I think the issue might be that the breaks between intervals isn't long enough. When my team does mile repeats, the break between repeats is ~2/3 of our mile times. So for example if someone runs one of their repeats in 9 minutes, then their break is 6 minutes before the next mile. Since you're doing your repeats in 7:30, I would suggest having your break be about 5 minutes between repeats.
What other workouts have you done lately? If you're not used to longer workouts like mile repeats, it's going to feel terrible no matter what. You have to build up to longer workouts over time, not just randomly jump into them.
I second this. I’m a 5:00 miler and i do 3x1 mile with 3:30 rest in 5:50-6:00 no problem (well it’s hard but u get the point)
Make the rest 1:30, i bet i could do it. I’d also be passing out tho.
I’d try 3:30 -4:00 rest next time. That’s more than double ur current rest
