The Nazi Trump rally in Tulsa is a super-spreader event. Many of Trump's supporters are morbidly obese, diabetics and will be dead soon.

Boston had massive protests 4 weeks ago and recently tested 1300 of those folks.
13 tested positive for covid.
None had symptoms.
Scary, scary pandemic

And when this does not happen, what will you say?
Why is everyone so worked up about not having a road race for one freaking year? Any rational person would choose not risking a second wave of infection during a pandemic just to indulge some hobby jogger’s desire to run with thousands of other hobby joggers. Complaining about losing your job due to the lockdown? Totally legitimate. Complaining about the right to come in 200th place out of 30,000 runners? Idiotic. Just drive out to the middle of nowhere and hold your own race with your buddies. All you need is a Garmin and a cooler with drinks. I’ll even volunteer to hold up a sign saying “The Worst Parade Ever.”

How can you have a second wave when the first wave never goes away, is always surging and spiking?
Be afraid of perfectly healthy people not wearing masks
It’s hard to see how large races are going to happen in the fall but it seems like outdoor transmission is sufficiently rare that small local races with a couple hundred people should be allowed to happen. The issue with bigger races is people traveling from around the world to run.

While not everyone wears a mask, the majority of people at these protests appear to be wearing masks in videos that I have watched. Would that need to occur for communities to approve large road races?
An opportunity for innovation is an inexpensive mask that doesn't make breathing tougher and is lightweight yet functions as well or better than a typical cloth mask.
Hey man, my thoughts on this are that any mask which doesn't impair your breathing somewhat is not going to be as effective as possible, without some advanced filtration system built into them. Masks get all gross when you wear them for too long (especially running), but the reality is the grosser your mask gets and the harder it is to breath while wearing one, the safer you are making other people. Masks need to be able to be somewhat effective at keeping particles from your mouth and nose from being spread into the air, so when they get gross from successfully collecting most of the droplets, that is unfortunately a sign of them being somewhat effective.
What if we protest the media to end Covid related fear creation?
We will have marathons this Fall!!!

120,000 dead with no end in sight, yet you continue proving your ignorance.
Just run them as Protest Marathons through malls and Main Streets. All of the merchandise you can carry across the finish line.

120,000 American deaths called covid linked, related, presumed.
94% of whom had at least two life threatening conditions.
How many of those 120,000 would be alive today with no Covid?
Maybe 12?
You don't fear monger by providing facts and nuance.
You spend 24/7 pushing scary numbers and scary stories.

So that person dealing with a stage 2 cancer would automatically be dead? Not worried about the nurses and doctors now dead because of constant exposure (you don't know them personally, so who cares right?). Any person over 70...they had a good run, should seeing their kids/grandkids risk the final 10-15 years of their life? Forget to mention countries like Sweden than just opened up have a much higher death rate of those closer to 40 years old then the places that have more aggressive measures in place.
How about the respiratory damage it does to even some healthy individuals...how's your running going to be with 20% decreased lung function? Pretty easy to say this when it isn't prevelant to your life AT THIS MOMENT.
And guess what, thousands of people protesting with masks on is a lot different than thousands of people unmasked, breathing hard, sweating, spitting.
The world doesn't shut down because of media hype. Companies & sports leagues don't give give up billions of dollars in profit if it's just a little sickness. Sorry that this disease is not as intense like ebola and killing people off by the millions, but considering how much our country came to a halt and we still have 120,000 dead in 3 months....yep, lets go back to normal because your marathon is more important that a few hundred thousand people that have been a burden on everyone and haven't died already.

This is just really, really sad. Even if some of what she is saying is merely her opinion, the revelations here, while not surprising, are extremely sad.
I really hope people will take the time to watch this, because, in reality, the mortality rate would probably be half of what it is, or less.
No way would I ever agree to paralytics, heavy duty muscle relaxers, etc. and a ventilator. There was a joke floating around about Cuomo indirectly whacking nursing home patients. Well, behind every joke is a grain of truth.
Covid 19 exists, but the mania is absurd. I never thought I would say this, but Trump’s instincts on this have been correct all along.
There’s a much bigger agenda here. Everything you just said about forfeiting money....there’s more money in healthcare then any sports ever will have. Give your head a shake.

If we saved 1 million lives with the lockdown, it was worth it.
I don't think we saved 1 million lives. Maybe we should have locked down New York like China locked down Wuhan, but most of the country should have stayed open.
OR... we did save 1 million lives and we are blowing it with the protest and openings. In which case we'll still have over a million dead by the next year.
