Not exactly. Looks like the Japanese system with having a part time job, part time athlete, full time pay/benefits gig. We need more of this in the United States, honestly.
Tracksmith has a whole racing team in Boston that gets free gear/shoes, and none of them actually work there. I'd imagine the teams they sponsor around the country also have the same deal.
Looks like Tracksmith has found some good avenues to cheaper advertising and exposure. Good for them. They even put up a solid team at Club XC without any full time athletes.
Next up, Philly? Chicago? LA? They seem to keep hitting up metro areas.
