Kudos to World Athletics for releasing a provisional new schedule. Whether it happens or not , we need to be trying to get back to normal - particularly young and fit athletes.

The main takeaways from the DL's announcement:
-no DL points awarded
-no DL final this year
-Zurich, Rabat, and London DLs cancelled
-Expect some slightly different formats: "a number of Wanda Diamond League meetings go ahead as one-off exhibition events, while others will be staged as adapted Wanda Diamond League meetings."
-Zurich will host DL final in 2021 & 2022; Eugene will host DL final in 2023
-The second China meet STILL doesn't have a location
Remember that the Oslo DL is being held as scheduled as the "Impossible Games" on June 11 but with no spectators and much smaller fields.
New DL schedule:
In August:
14 Monaco
16 Gateshead
23 Stockholm
In September:
2 Lausanne
4 Brussels
6 Paris (tbc)
17 Rome/Naples
19 Shanghai
In October:
4 Eugene
9 Doha
17 second meeting in China (venue tba)
The Pre Classic -- the first scheduled meet for the new Hayward Field -- will be held on the same day as the London Marathon. AND it's an NFL Sunday, with Patriots-Chiefs the main game of the day. The second China meet will be held on the same day as the World Half Marathon Championships in Poland.

Great news. Although I did like the social media version of events, (maybe not as much as others) it will be nice to see some live action.

Will there be LRC boots on the ground on October 4th at Hayward Field? (Assuming of course the meet actually happens).

This is Contingent on what is happening with the Pandemic, all I am going on is 1918 when the 2nd wave was 10 times more deadly than the first, based on history, I am pessimistic.

Also, do not forget the #impossiblegames at Bislett Stadium June 11.
Sounds like a lot of big names, even though unofficial from a IAAF perspective.
Ingebritsens
Warholm
Duplantis
(Maybe) Sondre N. Moen
+ much more -
Brojos,
Why don't you announce the inaugural LRC Rust Buster track series for the high number of US athletes who will not be invited to a Diamond League meet.
Get Hoka as a sponsor and hire some of the many un-employed race directors to get this going.
We are tired of inaction. Bring back the unafraid to run!!!

That's an idea. Wonder how that partnership is going?
