Looking at the last 100 of the 1500 it occurs to me that Mo had a lot on the line. Losing to Centro? fine. Losing to his countryman, O Hare? Headlines in Britain I think. Not quite O Hare, Butchart, and Grice's time in the limelight yet.

It's fairly disappointing that neither Centro (a 3:32 guy) nor Farah (a 3:28 guy) can produce fast times anymore, and yet somehow Centro's 3:33 is celebrated. Hopefully it's just early season, with faster times to come.

O'Hare made a move on two of the best runners in the world and almost got away with it. I'm excited to see his track season play out! Dark Horse O'Hare!

Why would they be wanting to be in shape to run a PR months before a world championship?

he ran a 1 second PR, so you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. If he is an also-ran now, he was an also-ran before (and I don't think he falls into either category, bearing in mind that he is probably a better 10k runner).

Ha, Centro is one of the most obviously doped runners in history. Right up there with Paula, Bolt, Kipchoge, and so on. The SAUCE is real playa.

1100 - 238.82 high. Farah, Ohare Centro and Mead at least 10 meters ahead of Winn

1200 - 252.7 that might have been for TOrrence, 253 racers.

250 to go. O'Hare has the lead. Centro and Farah side by side 3 meters back with 200 to go. Cnetro pulls ahead of Farah with 100 to go and then catches O'hare with 90 meters left.

Cnetor wins by 5+ meters. Farah edges O'Hare.

can we talk about what a terrible group OTC is?

Athletes who have left:

Wheating - just ran fastest time since prior to joining group

Mac Fleet - runs .4 off PR and fastest since joining OTC

Praught - runs big PBs after leaving and joining Coburn

Meanwhile, the OTC 800 squad consists of guys like Jock and greer who are either MIA or running 1:50+. These guys and gals are social media kings/queens... maybe they should put the phones away and actually do some work to start earning their contracts! better yet, get out!

So hey horse fan - have you ever been to this meet? Have you ever talked to the participants in the meet - including Olympic medalists? Have you ever competed yourself on a national or world class level? Because I have and I can tell you that they take this very seriously. Go back to the horses. You don't know jack about high level track racing that involves humans.

Anyone know anything about this guy?

I think you mean, terrible coach?

The group itself might impact this some but the coach is the one involved in the training and preparation.
