Technical Question: does that new SCOTUS dude Kavanaugh immediately get to hear cases, or wait until new session starts?

Kady Miller of Bismarck is one of the women named in the ad, but says in a Facebook post that “A lot of these people listed, including me, did not give anyone permission for our names to be posted.”

“I don’t even support Heidi Heitkamp and I am not a domestic abuse survivor,” she continues.

Miller didn’t name any of the other women allegedly included in the ad without permission, but in the comments to her post Keeley Beck of Mandan says her name was included without her permission as well.

How do you accidentally include someone’s name on a list of abuse survivors without their permission? Even more fundamentally, how do you include people on the list who weren’t even victims of abuse? It just doesn’t make any sense, even a junior campaign intern should have known this was too explosive an issue to handle carelessly.

Another woman whose name incorrectly appeared on the letter but asked to remain anonymous called the ordeal “humiliating.”

“I’m not even a survivor and my name was included in the ad,” she said. “I had family and friends calling me all concerned. It was humiliating.”

Again, the question I’m asking is how this could even happen? Did someone just collect names off Facebook and add them as signatories? That’s what it sounds like.

The circus surrounding Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who accused him of sexual assault over 30 years ago, ended weeks ago. However, a GoFundMe account to raise money for Ford is still active and people are still donating money. The account has raised $627,301 (on a $150K goal) and received its last donation nine hours ago (oops, someone else just ponied up $25 while I was typing). The people who set up the account wrote that they will not withdraw any of these funds as Ford’s “family has been named the sole beneficiary and her husband will take the funds directly from GoFundMe.” Incidentally, the GoFundMe account for Kavanaugh is no longer accepting donations.

A message from Ford posted on October 3 stated that the money from the GoFundMe account will help her with “security, housing, transportation and other related expenses.” Does she still need that money?

Likely it's for her upcoming legal costs. Look at the 16839 people who wishfully gave CrowdJustice money ($586645) to Stormey, with the "switch-a-roo" that it's now being funnelled to Trump (!) after judge's decision on lawyers' fees.

Your opinion is so brave and I agree fellow human. We must impeach the Supreme Court until people we agree with can be appointed.

Kavanaugh's always been against Agency Decision, so I'm sure he'll side with the college kids here.
