Will Rocky run Worlds now? He's had a long, long season.
Skipping a Worlds XC on home soil after making it would be a head-scratcher. Have to imagine thats the plan, and he can figure out if a RS is what he wants for Indoors
I mean if these are the top 125 entries so be it, but I am disappointed we don't have a better field of 125 guys that want to enter and show up to this race.
You could always tailor your expectations to reality to avoid disappointment.
Just a shame he never put it together in a global champs, and often had his inferior event (10K) as his only race or first one. Just like Solinsky and A. Goucher wondering what might’ve been.
This is such a bizzare event. The best runners in America.
And only 66 guys under 18:00 at the 5k.
There are Turkey Trots with more depth than this race.
Not sure why this is getting down votes. Is it not bizzare that we have such a wide range at the USA Championships? Why don't more B and C tier runners do this? How do these guys who will run 35+ get in this race?
The XC championships must be open entry for USATF members, allowing club runners, masters, etc.

Not so much. Competitors find a way. The rest simply don't measure up.
the mud, the wind, the hills, spectators in your face, beautiful drone shots, slip and falls, greenery...give me xc majors/grand slam xc, a combination of F1 and trail running
Question: Why is it that in a XC race the runners are less likely to sit in a pack and jog like they do in a 10K track race? That is another appealing factor.
Anyone else find it weird that Gault did not mention Allie O at all even though she was 4th in last years championships? Is this years field that much better than last years?

I see Kincaid differently. Solinsky and Goucher were big stars at the high school and college level, and they had high expectations as a result. To me, Kincaid is someone who greatly exceeded expectations anyone would have reasonably had of him coming out of college. Being a two-time U.S. champ and two-time Olympian is something I think he can be proud of.
