14:44 5000M indoor. Blows away NCAA outdoor/indoor records by . . . a lot. 8 seconds. Instantly the GOAT of NCAA women’s distance runners. [correction: “Parker Valby”]

Come now. Without Valby there is no Hedengren. Valby showed what you could get away with and destroyed the no doping in college taboo, and Jane and her connections ran with it. Unless we are still going with a genetic anomaly that strangely manifested itself when she turned 18. Brave new world. And not worth following.
Hedengren 5000M progression:
4/18/2025: 14:57.93 -outdoor:Bryan Clay
12/6/2025: 14:44.79 -indoor Boston
13.14 second improvement over 8 months as 19yr old.

Cry Baby Cry! Wawawawa
Indifferent.
It all started with Katemila Kratochviluohy and the East Germany State Wolfpack
Listen, if you want to believe that a college runner with a pharmaceutical company exec stage dad could crosstrain her way to college records without ever getting tired or that a high school runner with a pro coach, pro training partners and another stage dad could subsequently turn 18 and go supersaiyan, don't let me stop you. Unless they are Kenyan goatherders or Shelby Houlihan, they will never get caught, so have at it.

Imagine thinking college sports are a safe haven from doping 🤡

It started at NC State with Tuohy after her teammate turned pro and instantly improved and her teammate's boyfriend went from NAU to 4th at the World final. Funny how they can't seem to do that any more.
Touhy got her big jump after "training" with them that summer. Funny how she can't seem to do it any more either.

Your little princess, Katelyn T., just sucks and you can't stand that. Monson ran under 14:20 and your little angel cant even run under 15.
Grace Hartman made USA XC team w/6th place finish. Huge congrats to her.
Answers whether Hedengren could have made the USA XC team = Yes.
Hedengren beat Hartman by 14 seconds at NCAAs. Hedengren would have placed top-6 at USATF today if she ran. Diljeet made right call for Hedengren to do Boston indoor, break NCAA 5K record, and not extend season. Recover and prep for late indoor season/outdoor season.

My takeaway from that race is that Riley Chamberlain is going to be a problem in the 1500. She has strength for days as well as speed and Nikki better watch out. Huge 1500 PR incoming for Riley.

That's twisted logic. Tuohy dominated at the college level where there's little to no drug testing. Now that Tuohy is a pro and getting tested regularly, she isn't as good. The explanation is obvious.
Hedengren now #2 on world all time best for U20 in 5000M Short track.
#1. 14:42.94 - Senayet GETACHEW - Ethiopia
#2. 14:44.79 Jane HEDENGREN - USA

I expected her to finish the outdoor track season with PB of low 14:40s.
Somewhat surprised she's already there, however her XC season did she show was in far better shape than her track season.
Excited to see what she accomplishes. Hopefully they don't try to overrace her.
NAIA B standard.. congrats Jane.
