I don't think Caster should be allowed to compete against women but I do have to laugh at the lack of self awareness of the OP and the lady he's quoting.
Caster is saying I can have non-functional, internal testicles and be a woman. You're saying she has a vagina and breasts but is a man and you think what she's saying is absurd and what you're saying is common sense.
It might be time to think a bit harder...
No one said they don't function, they are just undescended testicles.
Her testes function fine... they are what produce her high levels of testosterone. She also fathered a kid.
oh dear god. what part of intersex do you not understand. she has both sets of junk. she has a vagina and not a penis. so she is that "much of a woman." the testes are internal. are we pretending intersex = trans?
this is a far more complicated issue than you're admitting. she doesn't have a schlong and she has essentially prepubescent balls but you want her with men. she does have a vagina but she can't race women. historically having a vagina would decide this.
what she has as a result is hormone levels. so what you're freaking out about are internal testes and hormonal levels. that's how deep in the woods this gets for a supposedly easy M-W split.
Sounds like you think sports fairness isn’t about assessing significant intrinsic competitive advantage. Decide whether it is or it isn’t.
Wait, I already know the answer. You have decided sports fairness is most importantly about gametes. If you don’t like gamete supremacist, how does “sex obsessed” sound?
Yawn, as you well know, sport is about 'assessing significant intrinsic competitive advantage' within a relevant category. Whether that's weight class, age, disability, or yes, sex. I don't make exceptions in my mind for any of the other categories so why would I do it for one category based on an individual's subjective gender feelz?
oh dear god. what part of intersex do you not understand. she has both sets of junk. she has a vagina
That's incorrect. You are confused. Semenya does NOT have a vagina. Semenya is a 100% biological male whose penis didn't grow. Just because someone has nothing hanging between their legs does NOT mean that they have a vagina.
When a penis doesn't grow and testes don't descend, as what happened with Semenya, that person ends up with an empty scrotum which does not need to expand to accommodate testes. So the area between their legs resembles a vulva, because there is no testes or penis there. But that's NOT the same as having a vagina.

The relevant category in running is gender, not sex, as per WA. But I suppose you can make up your own categories and worry about exceptions to your imagined categorization.

You are lying.
World Athletics: "The substantial sex difference in sports performance that emerges from puberty onwards means that the only way to achieve the objectives set out above is to maintain separate classifications (competition categories) for male and female athletes."

You can say it’s “not the same” and that’s right, but male and female sex organs are homologous, so they are not dramatically different either even amongst cis folks. A clitoris develops from the same embryonic tissue as a penis. A vulva is what people since the origin of mankind have looked at to determine female sex at birth. You just happen to have your favorite new definition of a female now; maybe you are a vagina supremacist if you think that is what is most critical.
In any case, all that has little do with intrinsic performance advantage, which is primarily determined by hormones and genetics to the extent we understand it.

Nope, I can also selectively cite any number of sentences using woman and female interchangeably in WA’s eligibility documents.
How do you explain the definition of a “Transgender female” as defined by WA in the very first section of C3.5? How come they are allowed to participate in the female category? How come WA says “gender identity is female”, not “gender identity is that of a woman” or something like that that you like to think?
bull. if someone saw her in a shower, how would they react. you can split hairs but they'd think she was a woman. "but but but it's a vulva and not the full deal." yeah well she's not the full deal the other way either, sherlock.

World Athletics does not determine which people can run in which category by looking at people in a shower, so your shower example is irrelevant.
And you are wrong. Caster Semenya is in fact a 100% biological male without a penis. Semenya has no female parts.
Just because a male is missing a penis does NOT make them a female. There are quite a few of males who don't have a penis because of a birth defect, or it was removed because of cancer, or they had an accident. And they are NOT females.
I will repeat it a second time because you are a slow learner. A male without a penis is NOT a female.

Me :Opens site - Semenya has a penis! Trump 2024!Israel is right! WNBA is slow! Baltimore/Chicago! Earth is flat! BLM have low IQ!
Me:Closes site. 😪 Friggin tossers!
Where has anyone other than you said that Semenya has a penis?
The title of this thread is, “My testicles don’t make me less of a woman,” ~ Caster Semenya.
The quoted words- "my testicles don't make me less of a woman" - come from Semenya's own mouth.
Semenya's claim that "my testicles don't make me less of a woman" are amongst the many preposterous, fanciful, far-fetched, hard-to-believe things Semenya has said in recent press interviews whilst on a publicity tour to promote Semenya's newly-published memoir.
In the 14+ years since Semenya became internationally famous after winning the women's 800m World Championship for the first time, Semenya - and many other parties such as Athletics South Africa Semenya's PR team, Semenya's attorneys and the mainstream media - have gone to enormous lengths to hide or deny the fact that Semenya has testes.
Given how long the campaign to hide the truth about Semenya's sex has gone on, and how successful all the fudging and lying have been, it's extremely newsworthy that Semenya is now openly admitting to having testicles when speaking to the press.
It's also newsorthy that even as Semenya is now admitting to having male gonads that produce male levels of T, Semenya is continuing to be blatantly dishonest by claiming that having testes, male levels of T, male genetics and normal male androgen response don't make Semenya "less of a woman" or give Semenya any unfair advantages over female athletes.
In a number of radio interviews given in the UK this week, Semenya has maintained that Semenya's success in women's running can be attributed to "hard work," "high intensity training" and the genes inherited from Semenya's parents that have caused Semenya to have a natural gift for athletics. (Tellingly, Caster was the only one of the Semenya kids lucky enough to get this genetic gift from their mom and dad. Semenya's sisters and brother aren't athletes. In fact, Semenya's sisters aren't even athletic.)
The revelations in Semenya's book and the statments Semenya in making to promote the book are bound to generate discussion, especially on a running forum.
But in the threads on LRC I've seen about the statements Semenya has recently made related to Semeya's book, AFAICT you're the only one who's made a post saying "Semenya has a penis!"
Then again, I might have missed some contributions by other "tossers."

Yup and World Athletics also have a 'No Terfs on our Turf!' banner on their website and a Neutrois Genderqueer affirmation ceremony before each team meeting. Seb Coe himself is famously a two spirit pansexual.

Pretty funny how the overwhelming majority of folks on these LR boards just refuse to accept the plain truth of their sport’s governing body’s position and clearly defined language on this issue.
It’s like head-in-the-sand moon hoaxers. White knight bubbas who can’t think beyond “penis man”. Or the ones who think they are a bit more educated and nuanced and try hard to distinguish between “woman” and “female” when their governing body does not.

I can only imagine you're wilfully misunderstanding the other poster's excellent point. Your position is that any male who looks feminine enough (a point you always strenuously deny making but you literally just said: "She would still look female even if her testes have not been removed... instead of estrogen, she would still look the same she does today.") or believes strongly enough that they are a woman; then the default is that they should be allowed to compete with women, so long as they are not at a significant competitive advantage. I think that's a fair assessment of your longstanding position.
The other poster is saying at what point is it unreasonable to assess every sufficiently mediocre male athlete who wishes to participate in the female category? In theory, could one of these 'feminine looking' males sandbag the 'test' to ensure they appeared not to be at a significant competitive advantage and then trounce the competition when it mattered? If that's even a 1% possibility, then it undermines your whole argument about making sure no male has a significant competitive advantage. My position is that you can't get around the advantage problem between categories without protecting the category itself.
Kettle, pot, black.
It was "arunnerinwa" who brought up the issue of Alicia's physical appearance. I corrected her misunderstanding that Alicia looks female only because her testes were removed.
While Alicia's physical appearance is irrelevant, the reason that she looks female is important. She does not look male because her body does not respond to androgen. It does not just affect her facial features. It affects her whole body.
How does a person whose body does not respond to androgen have athletic advantage because she was born with Y chromosome? Does Y chromosomes make you run faster even if your body cannot respond to testosterone?
The difference between Alicia Roth Wiegel and Caster Semenya is not their chromosomes. Both were born with Y chromosomes. Their difference is not their gametes. Both were born with testes. The difference is that Caster's body responds to testosterone, while Alicia's body does not.

semenya: "If you want to see I’m a woman, I will show you my vagina. All right?’" dude, do not call me a slow learner for you having your facts wrong. semenya offered to show them "something." i assume it's not just a male part chopped off or whatever you imply. you are merely trying to debate what a "vagina" is. you even used the darned word "vulva." at which point you're full of it to suggest she has no female parts. last, in terms of the legalese your ilk loves to fall back on, she was classified female at birth. but now you're admitting there is some biological complications to discuss. hmmm perhaps not as simple as birth certificates ehhh. so now we're gonna shout down those presenting the contrary factual explanation. if you're not going to be honest and participate in good faith there's no point in engaging you.
