People are overlooking the fact that Doris' M.O. is run as hard as needed to win. Doris has a ferocious kick and often doesn't take the lead until inside the last kilometer; therefore, her winning margins are deceptive**. Jane likes to hammer from the start and break her competitors. It's possible Jane probably can break Doris but we won't know until the winner crosses the finish line. But it's equally possible Doris haven't shown her best because she MAINLY runs as hard as her main opposition and then goes for the win.

**Jane and Doris employs two different types of tactics and their margins of victory in other races don't actually tell us much because of that difference. YES I MOST DEFINITELY want Jane H. to win but I wouldn't be 💯% shocked if Doris L. wins.

Pamela always runs with a grimace. I think she will be much more competitive next week. That being said, Jane and Doris are the clear favorites. Hard to count out the NCAA record holder in the 10k though. Should be fun.

Even crushing the field in every race, at no point in any of her THREE races this season has she looked anywhere near gassed. She is a 19 year old world class talent who is in obviously incredible form; THREE 6k races at sub-maximal effort is not going to hurt her one bit. As someone said upthread, the finish line video of this race (and of all her races this year) frankly look like someone finishing a tempo workout; rather than looking like someone who is spending herself cheaply she is looking like someone who is about to drop a nuclear bombshell on the field next week. She is going to be incredibly hard to beat at NCAA's, no matter which opponent we're talking about.

I think the 4:23 miler will have a sufficient kick for cross country.
