She ran at least three 800s within 2-4 seconds of her best in three days, by your own admission, plus an easy, probably sit and kick 1500m and a 4:14 1500, which is not jogging for her. Young athletes can only race so much before the injuries and burnout start. No, she is not burning out right now. She is burning bright. You know what happens after that. Take it easy on her, coach.
maybe you should check USADA's website yourself, because she is clearly listed as having been tested multiple times over the past year, whereas the trolls' queen has not
she went 2:04 for 800 as a junior which very much aligns with what she ran for the 1600/mile as a senior
i get that astro is likely using multiple handles in this thread and so i'm mostly talking to a wall here
i just wish there were more intelligent people on this forum, or at least those curious to learn more
99% of posters here have never used PEDs and don't understand how they work. had the Johnson's given Addy epo she would have been WAY faster in the 5000
Except that in this case there are actual drug allegations from their other star Huntington athletes and a criminal investigation. That is what makes this different.
Please don't go with the whole you don't understand how epo works. No one needs to know exactly what the runners were given.
You just sound like you are denying that the allegations are true, and the runners are lying about Mr. Johnson.
As I said before, I get there are diehard fans. People following the story can google and decide for themselves.
i'm not denying that the two women alleged they were doped, and their results very much show they were so in my mind that's not even an allegation, it's fact. massive improvements after years of stagnant performances. it's obvious they doped, especially the one who suddenly ran a 10000 at a much faster pace than her previous 5000 PB.
my point is that Addy's performances have been very consistent, with any improvements in the 1600/mile being foreshadowed by the prerequisite time in the 800.
if you need google to shape your opinion that's fine, but what it says to me is that you can't look at results and see what is or is not a normal progression.
and if you did your research as you said, you'd realize it was epo being given to those two HU athletes. Addy's results are not at all consistent with someone being given epo.
The people she associates with will ultimately be her downfall
The Wiley story is a complicated one but a post like the one above should not have been deleted. While I don't want this thread to turn into a Nick and Lauren Johnson /Huntington scandal discussion thread, it's impossible to to totally separate the two stories (Huntington/Johnson scandal and Wiley's success).
I 100% feel this thread was way overly moderated and I've restored a lot of posts - probably close to 10 on the first page alone.
The reality is Addy Wiley was clearly one of the top US distancde prospects last summer. She reneged on Colorado and went to Huntington to stay close to the Johnsons. Many said she was making a huge mistake. From a running standpoint, Wiley had proven them wrong. Of course, Lynn Jennings ran great under John Babington, winning world xc and setting a world indoor record. Years later, I imagine Jennings would have chosen a different pathdespite the success.
I keep vowing myself to put Lynn and Addy into contact with each other. I think Lynn would be a great resource. Weldon/Jonathan, please badger me until I make that happent this week.
But what a performance. Despite all the noise, Addy has had an amazing year on the track. Congratulations.

By that same logic, it's perfectly fine to connect Tuohy's success with her trolls on this forum and their false accusations.
Come on folks, let's send this abuse right back where it's coming from.

You know full well that two in-competition tests are utterly meaningless and cannot catch anything. Absolutely nothing would prevent her coaches from administering EPO and steroids in the weeks before this meet. It would certainly explain how she suddenly was able to run much faster than she has run all season. I get that there are one or two apologists on this thread with what is likely a connection to this athlete who try to derail any honest discussion of the HU scandal and the Johnsons. If you point out that Lauren Johnson clearly doped her way onto a world team or the lurid allegations and against and admissions by her husband, they report and try to get it banned. Well so be it. This whole saga is and was a complete farce. Wiley was doped in high school, was doped for this latest race, and it is a black eye on the entire sport.

nice meltdown.
Tuohy didn't even get tested after her 5k outdoors, her mile or 3k indoors.
Wiley competed at the USATF Indoor Championships AND the USATF 1 Mile Road Race Championship and passed all the associated drug testing.
Wiley has barely raced outdoors because she is planning to have a long summer season, including racing at the World Championships while Tuohy is AT HOME.
