Did Mike Rossi (viral marathon dad) cheat his way into Boston?

Correct on every point, and Bart, Bard and USATF will stay away unless there's new evidence, hard for many to accept, but that's a fact.

As far as media are concerned the new interest now, as opposed to new evidence, is the human interest angle, Ken and Mike spat and now the $100,000 put up by LR. Remains to be seen if the broader media latch on to it, as I alluded to earlier, and LR confirmed, they're sniffing around.

Brojo's are hoping they do, good promotion and publicity for LR, well done boys re $100K, one in the eye for the knockers.

This thread and the associated negativity only really blew up after LVM announced that they were not going to DQ Mike Rossi. Assuming that, had LVM DQd him, Boston would have followed suit, this thread would have died down in a big way and nobody would be openly questioning the integrity of Barb McKeever, Yasso and the LVM.

LVM could have gone back to planning this year's marathon, without having to worry about what stunts runners will try to pull at this year's event in protest of the non-DQ.

If there is no DQ, things are only going to escalate as the race date approaches, and you can bet that the local media will be interested to cover what goes down at this year's race, and it won't be about the competition itself.

Do we know that USATF was involved at all? There was a quote very early one in which Barb, I think, said she was going to ask USATF to get involved but I doubt she actually did. And if she did, I'm sure they told her that it was her problem.

I guarantee that there was never a USATF committee or representative that reviewed the evidence. I think Barb, perhaps Yasso, and one or two other people involved with putting on LVM just send a couple emails back and forth and thought, "ahn, let's not rock the boat. Wait a month and then announce no DQ on a Friday afternoon. Now, let's discuss our finisher medal design!"

For whatever reason, the Mike Rossi story seems to be gaining a lot of traction in Canada, even though, as far as I'm aware, there was zero coverage of the "marathon dad" story.

You have all forgotten one important fact . rossi has a torn hip labrum . Even if he heals he will never again be able to approach a 3:11 time so why would he accept the offer to try ? Sorry , but your attempt at trying to embarrass him or humiliate him publicly is not possible. Do you remember Bo Jackson ? A world class 2 sport athlete , after his hip injury he was never the same , and nobody expected him to be , do you think Bo Jackson would have accepted a 100k offer to run a 4.12 40 yard dash knowing it would be impossible after his injury ? That is Mike's out , and it"s a legit out . Nobody else on here could run their PR either after a torn labrum at 47 years old .

He "says" he has a torn labrum. There has been no proof other than a cpl scattered partial pictures . At least it is more proof than he offered up that he actually ran Lehigh. I don't believe either claim of his until he provides something concrete.

Mike doesn't need anyone to try to publicly embarrass him, he's done just fine with that on his own.

Also, don't forget the Brojos also offered him $10,000 if he runs 3:25. Shouldn't be hard to do in a year, hip injury or no, for a 3:11 man.

The Bo Jackson comparison is where your trolling went off the tracks. Jackson had a hip replacement. Rossi had no procedure at all.

As an aside, Rossi is butt ugly.

No points because you compared Rossi's purported torn hip labrum, which even if real, usually requires a few weeks of rest and NSAIDs to have a full recovery, to Bo Jackson's hip injury. Bo suffered a dislocation, which in and of itself would not have ended his career. It was avascular necrosis that ended Bo's football career, but even then he played professional baseball.

Face it, Rossi has no legit out of the offer. But, I agree that it won't accept it because he is both a d!ck and a p*ssy, thus making him able to go f#ck himself.
