TV by French and Germans, computers and electricity by the English, the car is debated between the French and the Brits, Alexander Graham Bell was born in Scotland and grew up in Canada, and well the light"bulb" is debated too but hell, I'll give you that one, I feel bad for you.
TV - First fully working electronic television was invented by an American.
Computer - Turing was British, yes. Stibitz should also get a lot of credit and he was American.
Car - Four stroke engine was designed by French, correct. Ransom Olds should get some credit for mass production, not invention.
Electricity - Stupid, you don't invent electricity. What you do is come up with the way to get it in a usable for to people's houses. Lots of people from many countries, including America, came up with that.
Light bulb - Edison may not have been the first to have the idea but his was the best. He's American. So was Sawyer.
Other notable inventions by Americans: Refrigirator, telegraph, machine gun, electric fan, tractor, digital camera, inline skates, catalytic converter, CDs, email etc.
Americans are smart, you can too!
