Why can't they have separate feeds for all the races. People who want to watch wheelchair can without running and vice versa. They could even have a 3rd combined feed. I want to watch the running marathon.

There is no other sport on planet earth where TV coverage of it is so awful.

The lack of professionalism in running broadcast is always disheartening. Even when these are supposed to be big races that they want people to get invested in, they still cover them like they're a local charity fun run.

Just a thought, we could be getting the thoughts from Bill Rodgers with a split screen of both races at the same time. Maybe I’m an idiot.
heck, they could split screen all four races while they’re interviewing this guy about the technology advancement in wheelchairs

They broadcast these races like ithey are parades. Lots of commentary and interviews. Only occasional glimpses of the floats/athletes.

Women were 16:49 at 5k (2:21 pace) and now we're just past 4 miles and it looks like every American woman has been dropped from the lead pack of about 15 women. Mile 5 was 5:00, so that's why.
