Where it gets interesting is that one of the players that played for the UNC womens team is...the now mother of Gio Reyna, who as you recall was basically benched for being an entitled brat (and admitted to this) during the World Cup.
So...what is the interesting part?

I think Gio's mom claims she didn't want an investigation she was more along the lines to her buddy at US soccer "Hey Gregg did something much worse when he was 18 than Gio sulking at World Cup, why can't we just move on?" but we don't know the details but other reporintg makes it sound more nefarious.

I didn't say I believed it. I said that's what she claimed. I was hoping it was true but the report today says "According to the report, Danielle Reyna told a U.S. Soccer staffer the day after the World Cup match against Wales: "Once this tournament is over, I can make one phone call and give one interview, and his cool sneakers and bounce passes will be gone." Claudio Reyna told then-USSF GM Brian McBride: "You guys don't even know what we know about Gregg."
