So it appears cheating in marathons is not uncommon and neither is DQing cheaters. My question then is why go on a witch hunt for this one guy if thousands out there are doing it without issue? It's just a stupid marathon, this amounts to a rounding error in my mind so what's the big deal?

For a race director of an established official marathon to come to such conclusion only means there was a thorough comb through of any possible evidence out there. As far as I'm concerned he didn't cheat and it's clear there's a poor attempt at a witch hunt. Do you feel proud of yourself for coming on here trying to defame this guy? He already paid a price for something he wasn't found guilty of. I hope most see the truth and realize he's just an average guy who busted his butt and made something special happen. What are you doing to improve your life?
I know, I know, I shouldn't feed the trolls. You would need to ask the RD why. Perhaps if you could think for yourself might be a start. Why not try reading this article about marathon cheating and how some RD's dont DQ. It is not unprecedented for whatever the reason. So sit back, drink your Kool-Aid and try to read the following. I know it is long has some big words in it and perhaps doesn't have enough pictures for you, but try to get through it.
