Paula Radcliffe insists slurs will never taint her legacy:
I have a deal with my local radio station that should Paula ever be found to have used drugs of any composition during her career, I will donate 100 gold sovereigns to my neighbourhood hospice.
I am confident I will still have those sovereigns when I pop my clogs, which are going to the hospice anyway in my will.

It's really a strange kind of logic to say that because other people lied, that Paula must be lying too. To me it's like admitting you are not smart enough to see the difference. Paula is not Lance, Dieter Baumann, Carl Lewis, Marion Jones, nor Linford Christie.
"Fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."
And Carl Lewis is not like Paula, or Lance, or Dieter Baumann, Marion Jones, or Linford Christie.
I pretty much agree that the value of this quote had been devalued by cheaters pretending to be clean. But others implicate she is lying, which again, I agree is stretching the facts. I say you have to look outside the quote, to see there are also significant differences.

I think you're reaching here. The whole premise of the thread was Paula's quote, which she is saying that she is clean and can look people in the eye and say it. So several have said that this is a meaningless claim because other known dopers have made the same claim. To say that she is lying because others are lying is a huge stretch. The point is that Paula's proclamation that she is clean has no value, not that she is lying because Lance lied.
FWIW, I think she was clean.
