The Runners World article quotes one RD who states that cheaters have offered bribes in the past to allow their results to stand. Barb McKeever's inaction is starting to make me wonder if this was also the case here.

There is no other good reason why Mike Rossi's time is still in their results after all of the evidence and the pressure that has been put on the race.

She really needs to step down over this fiasco, along with any of her advisors!

There is no evidence at all to suggest that. Lets not accuse anyone of anything without facts.

I know 2 people who have cheated to get into Boston. Both had someone else who was faster run with their chip/bib. Anyone who cared to look up the photos knew exactly what happened. Neither of these people was a d-bag and neither drew attention to themselves or claimed that they ran the BQ time. They just quietly went to Boston and ran. I bet there are a lot more like this. Especially at smaller marathons where they don't even do photos on course.

Maybe the best way to end it is to remind everyone what a winner Mike is.

The FACT is that Barb McKeever has received a mountain of evidence that Rossi didn't run the course, yet he has not been DQed. There is also a statement from another race director, who says that he or she has been offered bribes to leave a cheater's result standing. Rossi's personality seems compatible to me with somebody who would offer a bribe to protect their ego.

No, it is definitely not enough evidence to convict somebody at a trial, but enough for me to speculate about the RD's motives.
