Stupidity of the government.
For physically very fit people, this virus is just a bad flu.
To be physically very fit, people need to go out and run. Making it harder for people to go out and run is counter productive.
This.
We'll all have to learn to live with the virus. We can't wait for a vaccine, it would be nice but don't count on it within a year. Hence, smart policy would encourage people to get in shape, not to stay at home.
And a mask is absolutely not necessary outside.
I keep hearing how hard it is to get infected outside. Where are people getting infected then? Do people go running their hands over things at the grocery store? Is everyone else having friends over and missed out on the memo?
The only places people can go where I live are work (with a mask on - so no infection there), the grocery store (some require shoppers to wear masks), take out (some places won't let you in without a mask), and to exercise on the roads or a handful of trails and beaches that are now open. Yet somehow the virus keeps spreading. What is the vector and what kind of crazy thing are people doing to get infected?
I've heard the asymptomatic numbers range from 30-96%. It would seem like the virus would have spread way further with it anywhere in that range.
