edris is clearly bigger kicker than mo
it was obvious the instant he entered last lap in lane 2 he was screwed & wouda needed an absolute miracle to win
he nearly pulled off miracle !!!
i estimate edris ran about 5+m more than mo on last lap !!!, which is 2+ strides
edris screwed up the tactics & shouda been in pole at the bell
if he had, i expect him to have won easily by at least 1 full stride
mo did decide at the right time to quit 5k, because edris is a bigger kicker & mo is never going to "Komen" out a race from gun to kill off edris's kick, so it woud be silver/bronze from now if he stuck to 5k
10k is different as they don't have kick to beat mo & woudn't hammer it gun-to-tape to kill him off
Garbage they were side by side over the last 100m and Farah outsprinted him.
You just hate all British runners.
^ agreed
I think people forget how difficult it is to withstand multiple attacks.
First Kejelcha came at him with about 250m to go and then Edris with around 180m to go before having to hold off all three in the final 100m.
It's the sudden changes in pace that wreck your legs on a last lap. To contend with so many attacks and win just proves that Farah is stronger than the others.
Calculo, next time you are at a running track ask three other similar standard runners to attack you over 400m whilst you try and hold the inside - then you'll understand.
