As far as I know, both have been healthy and training well. I see both as good cross country runners, so I give the slight edge to True.

This is the only intelligent post on the thread.

Large majority of the LRC 'Geniuses' are apparently too feeble-minded to have noticed that True has kicked Derrick's butt like the last three times they've gone head-to-head. (There might be a race I'm forgetting in there, from the summer, when True had a couple of weak performances.)

I don't know how True's training has gone in the last month or two, but any objective analysis of the last two years or so makes True just as good as Derrick, and maybe a bit better. (And, of course, the last time they raced XC, True royally stomped him.)

The Nuclear Physicists who keep picking Ritz for the win seem unable to read. I love Ritz, and he looked surprisingly good in the two Europe races, but it's been explained repeatedly (by him and others) that 1) he's only had 8 weeks of solid training; he's nowhere near in peak shape; 2) he's done zero altitude, while both Derrick and True have got a good block in.

I always pull for Ritz, but picking him to win this race is dumb.

The LRC 'Geniuses' also apparently haven't noticed (except for Dingo) that Riley's been running great. Derrick barely held him off at Club Cross.

There's a bunch of guys with a shot to contend for 3,4,5 today, but Riley's the one who stands out, while nobody's seemed to notice.

I'll give Ritz the edge over the longer distance, and agree with the Dingo.

Should be a great race.

The USA XC Championships are this Saturday. Dathan Ritzenhein, Ben True, and Chris Derrick are the headliners on the men's side.

On the women's side the big new out today is Abbey D'Agostino is out with an injury. More info here:

World Championship spots are on the line and $7000 to the winners (if they go to worlds).

Anyone know what happened in the junior races? I didn't watch. Where can I find the results? USATf site doesn't have them nor does the live split site.

How can you watch as the feed doesn't work?

Feed is working great. I'm watching Laura Thweatt, Neely SPence, Nelson adn Hall - all of the names we esxpected - up front 10 minutes into the women's race.

Please tell me how? Are you just clicking on the USA site. Mine is frozen:(

I now know what the UK feels like with Michael Johnson being their spokesperson in Track.

2 Colorado girls finished 1-2. Young looking American kid won the boys (Connor someone), Geberkidane was 2nd. Thats the best I can do from the UK!
