I am a staunch Conservative. I hate that the virus and vaccine have become so politicized. While there is tons of misinformation coming from BOTH sides
Er uhm no. There is tons of disinformation/misinformation out there. The MAJORITY of it is coming from right wing sources. They seem to be against vaccines, social distancing, masks (even in schools where under 12s can't get vaccinated) because they don't want 'big government' taking away their freeDUMBs. Look at Florida, TX where the Republican governors plan to withhold funding from schools that try to implement mask mandates. Unfortunately the pandemic has been politicized largely because of the actions of the former guy and now there is a lot of grandstanding in an attempt to 'own' the libs where the real issue should be about public health.
When we are against masks for kids we can do risk assessment and understand the Flu is worse for kids than Covid and no one would have ever considered masking kids for the Flu. So no social distancing or masks for kids. If the teacher doesn't get vaxxed it is on them. BTW there is very little evidence that cloth masks that everyone wears do anything. We have known this from almost day 1. One of Biden's advisors Osterholm admitted the masks don't work on National TV and the video was taken on youtube for disinformation.
As far as disinformation I can show you numerous clips of our current president and VP questioning the safety of a Covid vaccine developed under Trump last year. My how the turn tables. Both sides share in the disinformation but the left has a far bigger share because they refuse to have any reasonable discussion about real things like whether someone who had Covid should be vaccinated and just call you dumb for not getting the vaccing.
As for your obligatory Texas and Florida shots how does Florida's death rate compare to the country despite having the 2nd oldest population in the nation? Get ready for DeSantis 2024, it's coming.
